Arrivals/Tardies/ Early Release

Arrivals/Tardies/Dismissal Procedures

Supervision of students is provided 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the school day. This also applies to students participating in an approved school activity, game, or event. Parents must drop-off and pick-up students within this time frame. Supervision only extends to students attending school and those authorized to participate in activities. Only those students who are under the supervision of an adult at a school authorized activity may remain on campus after school hours.

All students are expected to be in class on time. Entering a class late is disruptive to the learning environment. Students are considered to be tardy if they are not in their classroom when the tardy bell stops ringing. Late students must receive a tardy slip from the nearest kiosk and report directly to class.

Please refrain from attempting an Early Release during lunch, pep rallies, or planned assemblies (see bell schedule).

EARLY RELEASE PROCEDURES - STUDENT DRIVER/WALKERS/BIKE RIDER

  1. Parent provides written request (no emails will be accepted) on the day of Early Release with the following information:
    a. Student Name
    b. Reason for Release (Doctor's appointment, family emergency, court appearance, religious holiday or other excusable absence per PBC Student/Family Handbook)
    c. Phone Number where parent/guardian can be reached for verification purposes
  2. Student brings request to their Grade Level Student Support Center Office Secretary prior to the 7:22am bell in order to receive a pass to be released from class at the specified time. If a student does not have a 1st period, bring to Grade Level Office upon arrival to campus.
  3. After release from class, the student must report to the Grade Level Student Support Center Office to sign out prior to leaving campus.
  4. It is important that the student sign back in if returning to school that same day.
  5. All Early Releases should take place prior to 2:15pm. After 2:15, our Grade Level Support Center focus will be on managing traffic flow with buses, student drivers, and parent pick up, securing the campus for dismissal.

EARLY RELEASE PROCEDURES - PARENT PICK UP

  1. Parent parks car and goes to Grade Level Support Office to personally sign student out (Parent must have valid ID and be authorized for pick up). The Grade Level Support Secretary will send a pass into the student's class to release.
  2. It is important that the student sign back in at the Grade Level Student Support Center if returning to school that same day. (Parent does not need to escort student back on campus.)
  3. All Early Releases should take place prior to 2:15pm. After 2:15, our Grade Level Support Center focus will be on managing traffic flow with buses, student drivers, and parent pick up, securing the campus for dismissal.
